Why visit our stand?
This year has been one of great expectations and even greater achievements for our Smart Grid team here at TPS. We have a number of exciting projects currently in development that aim to revolutionise the Energy market within the coming years. Some of these projects are listed below:
- Active Response – This revolutionary project highlights our next generation Power Converters – These will be used by TPS in collaboration with UK Power Networks with the aim to release spare network capacity and reduce customer bills within the next few decades.
- E-LOBSTER – Have you ever imagined connecting Railways, Electric Vehicles Chargers, Solar Photovoltaic Cells, Storage Systems and the Electricity Grid? Well…. TPS and its partners did it!
- Smart Hubs – TPS is developing a Smart System that will allow Electric Vehicles to give power back to the National Grid. Let’s power-up using Low Carbon Technologies!
- TPS and Northern Powergrid are developing an innovative solution and new technologies to help secure the electricity supply to isolated areas.
By visiting our stand, you will have the opportunity to learn more about each of our new projects. Moreover, you will witness our cutting-edge Power Converters for smart grid reinforcement which made all of the above possible! A visit to our stand will provide the ideal setting to discuss your specific requirements with our esteemed engineers in Smart Grid.
Our exhibits will include the award-winning Dual and Tri-Terminal converters that facilitate the creation of Soft Open Points (SOPs) on the Distribution Network. These power electronic converters make use of spare network capacity at existing substations to enable capacity sharing using Low Carbon Technologies.
TPS’ Dual and Tri-Terminal converters received first place at UK EIA 2017 in the Losses competition for significantly improving losses on the distribution network. They were also awarded with the “Best Electricity Network Improvement” at the 2015 Energy Innovation Awards. TPS’ innovative converters were installed in multiple locations across London and Brighton.
Low Carbon Networks & Innovation Conference (LCNI) 2018
In its 8th year, LCNI will be returning to Telford to showcase the latest technologies and innovative engineering work taking place across the electricity and gas networks. This year, LCNI will bring together over 60 exhibitors from 13 different countries.
Taking place at the The International Centre Telford between 16-17th October 2018, the conference & exhibition will explore key learnings from electricity and gas network innovation projects, and will also provide project focused presentations, keynote speeches and multiple workshop sessions.
